One day, YOU will become part of the ultimate statistic.
We face many tests in life.... Where have your greatest tests been? In school, exams, alcohol, relationships, marriage, children, work, health, prison, unemployment, poverty, accident, moving home, neighbours, war, natural disaster, death (the loss of family and friends)?
Some tests can be avoided. Others cannot. And how we wish we had some control over these as it would save us a lot of pain in this life.
On the day we become part of the ultimate statistic, we will face the ultimate test. It is the test of your belief about your own goodness, should there be a day of judgment in the afterlife. If heaven and hell are real, will you be good enough for heaven? Everyone will face this test no matter whether they are rich or poor, loved or hated, strong or weak and whether they got a good or bad "deal" in this life.
The moment you die, your beliefs about your goodness and how this will affect your afterlife, will be put to the Ultimate Test.
Why not test them now?
There is a saying that each person is good in their own eyes. Generally speaking, many people believe that if there’s a God, heaven and hell, and if there is a standard for getting in to heaven, then they would have done enough to make it to heaven. The thinking goes something like this...
“Sure, I may have done some bad stuff in my life and I’m not perfect (who is), but deep down, I’m a good person.” And when asked: what if you're not good ENOUGH for heaven? “Well, God will understand that I’m only human... and if God's a loving God, God will forgive me.” This is not an arrogant so and so, full of their own importance. This is a person who works hard to be a genuinely good person they can be proud of.
Fact is, you may be a GREAT person. But what if God has a different standard to you? Wouldn't you want to check that now, through God's eyes?
On the topic of life after death, a man was once asked, "What do you think happens in the afterlife?" He replied, like the proverbial ostrich with it's head in the sand, "I try hard not to think about that!" Sadly this is often because they've had a bad experience with a "self-righteous" person; been "preached at in a non-loving way" or faced a tragedy or simply had a hard life leading them to a conslusion that if God were real and was a God of love then God would not have let these things happen to me so, yeah nah! Not interested!
But just as death is a reality we need to prepare for, so is what happens next… after death! The day will come, regardless of life experiences.
Living your life in denial of the possibility of an afterlife and what that may be like for you, will not change the reality that may be waiting for you. Before you end up with your whole body burried in the sand, take your head out of the sand. Consider the relationship between this life and an afterlife. Prepare your soul for eternity.
What if heaven and hell are real, and you're not good enough for heaven? You have the opportunity now, to consider these things. If the afterlife continues for eternity, then it's absolutely the wrong thing to be wrong about. It's a long time to be wrong.
The gambler is not that worried - on the outside at least. They'll roll the dice and take their chances. They don't typically believe in an afterlife but are prepared to gamble that if there is one, it will certainly be better than this world. Nothing to fear. Actions in this life are not necessarily connected to consequences in an afterlife. So Let's eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we may die.
But let’s be honest, only a fool would gamble with the eternal destiny of their soul and take no time to consider the afterlife - now! Why wait till you die to find out if you’d be good enough for heaven?
Please, don't gamble with the eternal destiny of your immortal soul? Eternity is forever... it's a long time to be wrong and it's the wrong thing to be wrong about!!! Take some time to consider a connection between this life and an afterlife.
Please, check it out before you check out!.
